It may be hard to believe, but the Pittsburgh Harlequins turned 50 years old this year on March 17, 2023. I don’t believe anyone that started the first season could imagine what we would look like 50 years later, but Founders Field is the perfect piece to symbolize what teamwork and friendships can accomplish.
We have a great day planned to celebrate our 50th Anniversary in conjunction with our annual “Return to Founders Day” on October 7, 2023 and we hope that everyone that has ever donned the Scarlet and Royal will be able to attend.
Like every “Return to Founders Day”, rugby, food and refreshments will be provided. The main attraction for the day will be the induction ceremony of the first class to the “Pittsburgh Harlequins, David Megnin, Hall of Honor.” We would not be where we are today without the exceptional commitment and dedication to the club by our membership and the first five members inducted to the Hall of Honor are being recognized for their outstanding performance both on and off of the field.

This will be the largest class admitted as future induction ceremonies are limited to a maximum of 2 per year, so please try to make every effort to be there for these Harlequins that went above and beyond for our club.

Founders Field
Founders Field is the home of the Pittsburgh Harlequins Rugby Football Club. It is located in Cheswick, PA – just northeast of downtown Pittsburgh.
Founders Field annually hosts regional and national tournaments, as well as a wide variety of private events in our well-equipped banquet hall. The hall is available for rent for meetings and activities year-round.
