Harlequins Take Harrisburg 7's

Jun 30 2010 Filed In:

Traveling with 9 players with an average age of 22, a young Harlequin 7's Team travelled to Harrisburg June 26th to compete in the 23rd Annual Harrisburg 7's Tournament. and represented the club with class on a hot day in the State Capital. The boys outscored the opposition convincingly, touching down 32 times to the opponents 6. The Quins were able to soundly secure their first round of pool play, bettering the Fort Drum Rangers, Bloomsburg, and the Binghamton Barbarians.

The Championship match against a determined Old Gaelic side, showed the fitness and enthusiasm level of the visiting Harlequins. Old Gaelic was able to score in the closing seconds of the match, but it was not enough to overcome the steamrolling Harlequin team. The final was 24 to 10.

Thanks to the boys that travelled, and to The Harrisburg RFC for hosting this event for over two decades.
